Altezza light question

Postby Metalstrix » Sat Feb 09, 2013 3:56 pm

Hey guys

I bought these off E-bay today:

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/300597279851 ... 514wt_1397

I bought them knowing that the orange bulb does not come with it.
Would it be okay just to use my factory orange bulb instead of buying new ones? Does it make a difference?

Actually I re-edited the question. In the video, the guy changes the orange bulb. Just wanted to check whether that orange bulb will make a difference changing it?

YEs only the brake lights are LEDs, the rest i.e. reverse and signal are normal bulbs.
Though you can purchase appropriate LED replacements online.

Your stock signal bulb is NOT orange. They're clear.
So you will need to buy an orange bulb or orange LEDs.

Shouldn't make a difference you should be able to use the factory ones in these ones.

Awesome. Is there a particular name for this bulb I'm after? What model is it?

Nice Thomas, I guess in the chat the other day you missed me saying you could of got these in Oz prob cheaper if not the same price... Just be wary of LED indicator bulbs, I had some bad luck and tried some Solarzen T20 (not your avg yumcha brand, very good from s.Korea)for my car, and they actually hyper flash (indicator flashes very fast) so since it's quite clear the indicator section, I would probably go:

a) a normal orange T20 bulb, will be noticeable from outside (orange colour), but very bright.

b) a stealth silver/orange T20 bulb, to conceal it more so you don't see the orange from the outside, still noticeable but not as bright, but considering the lens of tail light, will certainly be enough.

Hey Mick

Yeah I must have missed your message. But I looked on Google and I couldn't find any that were cheaper than $271.00. So that's why I just bought them. It's all good though. And secondly, I'll go with option A which I just found on supercheapauto. Cheers mick.
