El wire

I was wondering if anyone has done any work with el wire (Electroluminescent Wire), I was wondering if you are able to cut the tube and extend the wire from the cigarette lighter to the mounting point, where ever that might be? this is the el wire i'm looking at

sorry wasn't specific enough, i mean cut the tubes and run wire in between positions. Like for example set this up as footwells and have the driver side, then cut the tube and run wire to the passenger side, run some to the trunk, etc, etc

That plasma lightning plate looks pretty cool, i wouldn't know where to put it though.
Do you mean cut those specific el wire or el wire in general?

yeah, i was in the weird part of youtube and come across a illuminated dress, and eventually found the el wire, it'll be good for those tricky shapes
