I know that you can't get full LED taillights for sportsback, but is it possible to swap out the reverse bulb for an LED one?

Cheers

Apparently from what I remember, the reverse light bulbs are the same type of bulb that are in the sedan however there is less room in there. I remeber a while back we did a group buy on reverse lights and im pretty sure one of the buyers was a sportback and due to the size of the LED bulb it wouldnt fit in the tail light itself.

Something to consider...

From memory the reverse globes between the sedan and sportback are different. You should still be able to get globes for them though.

The Sedan is a T20 wedge, I think the Sportback is a T15 but don't quote me....

I've got Article Blue Parker lights in there
It's a pain to get your hands in there it's a tight fit but you should be fine
Don't ask what T type they are but they are Parker's

Take your time as there isn't much room between the lights and the boot and it should be anti-clockwise turn and pull

Correct, that was me. No way would the lamps fit, so I moved them onto someone who had a sedan.

Here's a pix of the difference:

I fitted LEDs for my reverse lights, but the problem is, when I back up, the lights only go on for about 3 seconds then turn off completely. Anyone know the reason behind this?

Thanks

I have heard some LED globes doing this. Might need to try another set...
