I was talking to a guy at Autobarn when I bought my Philips Blue Vision (4000k) and he told me that Crystal Visions (4300k) aren't ARD approved. I asked him if this was because the colour was getting more towards Blue, but he told me that the colour was fine, it was actually because the bulb life for Crystal Visions was below the standard set for ADR approval. Go figure.

I've read on other forums that it is because of the amount of light output. Then again this chart proves otherwise: Bluevision vs. Crystal Vision

As a headlight I would assume not.. even around the headlights like angel eyes I think these are not ADR approved (esp if you do them yourselfs).

Strips of LEDs on the front of the car? I'm not too sure..

Hmm, the other day I met up with some friends, one of whom had a Honda Accord Luxury (V6). The HID bulbs were NOT in a projector housing. They were in a reflector housing but came with washers and a leveling system. First time I have seen an OEM HID bulb in a reflector housing.

With those Philips Crystal Visions, do you just pull out the normal bulbs and replace it with those? These are not HIDs and don't require any levellers or other fancy gadgets as such right?

They are halogen bulbs so yes, a direct placement.

Crystal Visions are however not legal though :)
