The ones I looked are 70mm diameter, the RA plastic fog covers have a 65mm opening.

Dont know how the VRX foggies go together but the RA units are 1 piece on a bracket that mounts into the bumper.

Plan to take off the bracket & adapt the round DRL's to it & bring to the same position so cover butts up against them, as oem ones do.

Probably lookinto pricing this weekend, work is so flat out atm dont get a chance anymore!

The VRX fog aperture is lsmaller than 90mm of the Hellas so I was going to take off the bezel and clear plastic vocer that is there now. If your ones are smaller than 90mm they would be more ideal and if the brackets are similar, than that's awesome.

Funny enough, my fogs are 90mm but the internal reflector is about 70mm & that's where the visible light is emitted. Any larger will be wasted behind the fascia..

1st pic shows what I mean, so 70mm DRL option will be perfect.

They are nowhere near bright enough to be real DRL. Angel eyes are mainly for effect at night.

No SMD LED strips come close to being as bright as proper DRL in the correct housing.

Yes they will work as lights, but they aren't proper DRLs according to the Australian Desgin Rules.

Well my 'tagfahrlicht' kit arrived today! ;)

I quickly hooked them up to 12V supply & boy are they bright. The light is direct & concentrated, so these are proper drl's folks.

Would put them on par with HSV & merc in terms of temperature (not sure about 6000k bandit)

Hopefully will get a chance & install them this weekend, need to figure out best way to mount them in.

Looks good billyboy! - I have found some (which look very similar) on ebay - and my German is half decent so they are E-arked and have the RL on the lense (confirmed in my first German email since I stopped learning it in high school, before we even had email!).

These ones are about $160 delivered, so must be about the same as yours..

That little black box is where the magic happens! Please let me know how you go with installing, the oens I found are 70mm as well.....

The pre wired kits send off a wire to the headlight (or park light as I have done with my other car) to detect when it is turned on, so it won't matter if you have it on auto or not, the DRL will still turn off.

Yeah bandit, that box is just a relay module of sorts & has a tail to connect into lowbeams (not going for the parkers).

I just hooked up 12V straight to the back of the fittings to test they worked. Going to do a temp fitting to make sure relay box works & cuts off the DRL's before pulling my bumper off.
