Are these going to get me a defect? My friend bought them for me as an early birthday present and they are still coming in the mail...
I'm already a P-plater, so i dont want every cop to pull me over to ask me about them or try and defect me.

As far as I'm aware, if there isn't an 'E-Mark' stamp on the lights somewhere, it is not Australian Design Rules approved. Not too sure if those from Mars Performance are ADR approved though.
However, with that being said, there are a fair few members who run aftermarket taillights without any issues E-Mark or not.
Bottom line, I reckon you shoud be fine

I think you will be fine. Brake/tail lights should be clearly visible so all good.

I've had smoked taillights for a while too and never had issues. Yeah, as long as the brake lights are visible during the day, you should be fine.
