HELP* New Headlights for my 2009 ES

Postby Dire » Thu Nov 08, 2012 3:31 pm

If they're CJ headlights they'll fit any CJ, evo or not. What matters is that they're RHD and use the light source you're planning to use (halogen or HID).

Can't you just re-align them?
All lights should have screws that you can adjust up down and left right?
I never actually thought there was such a thing as LHD + RHD version of lights?

Hi Daniel, no you can't just angle them, inside the reflector there is a little plate that has a cut off on a certain angle, so when the light shines through it, and then through the projector inside the headlight, it will then illuminate on the road a specific way that is suitable for us here (as we have RHD vehicles)

Basically headlights from LHD countries, (such as USA) will shine or stretch the light out more to the right, which is no good for us here in Oz, as the light would shine onto oncoming traffic! *ohwell*

Hey SEB can you take a pic at night against a wall around 8 metres back, like to see the cut off of them. Did you actually adjust the reflector cutoff inside or just adjust the left and right on them?
