Apart from splicing into the plug, as some have shown, did anyone find out how Mitsubishi connects the OEM footwell LED units in the car? Surely they are plug-n-play...

Can anyone shed light on how these modules are connected if you purchase them after point of sale.

Where should I buy Phillip's crystal vision (online)?

Is it possible to change the orange lighting that come standard in the car i.e. odometer, stereo and thermostat dials?

You can buy Phillips globes at your local Autobarn or online at places like ebay etc

As for the interior dash lighting etc it is possible, but extremely difficult to do. There are 100s of tiny SMD LEDs that would need to be de-soldered and re-soldered, making it not only a very time consuming job, but also very risky.

Here is a shot I've got of the SMD LEDs (circled in red, there is 2 in the below photo )



They are tiny ones, 1mm wide 2mm long.

If they were like these ones they would be much easier (these are 2mm x 4mm)
