yeah mine is supposed 2 b 5000k but more likely to be 4800 so i want just a tinge of blue without losing alot of lumens... but yeah super white and white would be the best for lumens.... mine r probably slightly less but definitely brighter than stock..... in terms of blue tinge i rkn the 5000k would be the highest to go without losing lumens nxt in the range is 7500k and 8000k which look very blue but are not very useful in improving visibility especially when its rainy....

Yes Gavin that is correct. They are both HB3 and HB4, so you buy 2 pairs for high and low. you change the O-ring (supplied) for use in the HB3 socket ;)

Just orderd the following from powerbulbs.com

Philips Blue Vision 9005 (HB3) 4000K Xenon/HID effect - £21.79 x 1
Philips Blue Vision 9006 (HB4) 4000K Xenon/HID effect - £21.79 x 1
FREE Philips W5W Sidelight Bulbs (Twin Pack) - £0.00 x 1

Roughly translates to $77 AUD delievered.

I did look at PIAA and a few others, but the price had me sold on these and will be a starting point away from stock fittings.

Now I just have to wait for them to be delievered.

Do these PIAA globes need a ballast like HIDs or are they just plug in globes?

No, they are still Halogen globes, so plug and play.

I have PIAA SuperWhite on my car, high and low beam. Very white, without being blue.

I see, so technically they are legal yes?

Would it be better buying these from ebay or at a shop? :P Might try them out.

Haha, so I'm quite happy with my X-treme power lights.

They probably aren't as white as the PIAAs or the other philips light bulbs but they do a very very good job at lighting up stuff in front of the car and definitely have a longer throw compared to the stocks. Though I suspect these bulbs are more blinding than the stocks - some reflections I see from the cars in front of me or glass they seems quite bright :o

Not that brighter bulbs makes much of a difference in the cities anyway... hmm..
