new tyres (yoko advans sports), oil service (screw that synthetic oil is expensive).

Good luck to those washing your cars... .

Remember, no one judges you based on the cleanliness of your car or how much money you've thrown into your car.

But if you're a prick lacking social skills or a braggart , You're not going to be very well liked. Just turn up and make sure you remember the world doesn't revolve around you or your car and smile!!

No question we all like nice clean cars but we do have jobs and other factors that prevent us from preparing our cars.

It's just something I tell all the VIC boys before a meet. I've got people who don't want to come for meets because their cars are dirty! I mean wtf? Sure it's a car club but you're not judged by the cleanliness of your car nor how much you've poured in funds into your car. It's much more than that.

I've also seen members turn up at meets and I sense they're comparing themselves to others by the value of their car or what they know about the cars. That really gets to me and I am very harsh with such people.

I remember someone here with an Evo was rather peeved they didn't win ride of the month despite his being a tuned evo. But it wasn't ever a competition of the HAVES vs HAVE NOTs... .

So to those in VIC who've held off coming to meet us, but have stock bare bone or dirty unwashed lancers, please come along. We do NOT discriminate and we're definitely not selective. You'll be judged based on how friendly you are and not what you put out at the wheels or through your mouth... .
