I've messaged everyone to let you all know about the remainder payment and the bond (hopefully refundable given that nothing gets broken) - just posting it here as a reminder of sorts.

Remainder: $139.29
Bond: $71.43
Total: $210.72

If the total amount can be in the club account by March 8th that'd be awesome because it gives Pete a little time to transfer it to the owner a month before our stay :)

Hi All,

For all us SEQ locals that don't need accommodation etc. is there an agenda sorted yet? - I see there's a map for a proposed drive which has a stop at Siganto drive Helensvale, which would be great for me as I'm not too far away.

Or is this whole shebang just for the fully-paid membership?? (not being funny, just unaware of the club rules in this regard).

Would just like to tag along (with the oldies if there are any!) and ask loads & loads of dumb and annoying questions!

:-D

Cheers!

Hey Martin

As far as I'm aware, anyone who lives in GC is staying at their houses but as it gets closer I will get everyone's phone number and post details on this thread about meeting times for the cruise. We'll also be doing some other things over the weekend at the house that we're renting, so of course all GC and Brisbane members are welcome to join us.
I'm not a premium member and I'm a co-organiser (Tom is premium though) but no, meets are not specific to those who have paid memberships :)
PM me if you have any more questions about the activities or location of the rental house!

Cheers Ashley - will keep an eye out!

Oh, and for all this guys who are worried about the Qld. Police, don't.

We have anti-hooning laws up here, so if you're not hooning, you won't have an issue! - I travel between NSW & Qld. regularly and I always breathe a sigh of relief when I get back into Qld. - the Police in NSW are are a lot worse than up here (and don't get me started on the Victorian Police...!).

Remember that outside of the Pacific Motorway, we don't display giant signs warning of speed cameras ahead - what you'll usually see is an unmarked van, or sometimes a 4WD parked innocently beside the road - these are the ones to watch out for! (plus we get loads of unmarked police cars up here, especially on the main highways).

And you won't need a visa to get in - just make sure your passport is up-to-date and you'll be ok...

...although I believe the NSW Government will be introducing a Departure Tax on all those heading north across the border into god's country!

:-)

I'm in!

A muffin, a hash brown and several coffees to keep me going!
