Sorry double post!!

A drive to the VIC border would be good, the Glenelg river would be an awesome place for photoshoots as they have a lot of shacks/bridges and camp grounds/caves so would be a good backdrop.

I'm slightly concerned why there's not many VIC members jumping on this...

Come on people!

Here is the list of everyone who showed some sort of interest in this:

1: MitzaB-Chris
2: Longinus-Oscar
3: Trojanhorse-Erin
4: Syd_Lancer-
5: Six420-Mark
6: Tac89-Terry
7: Seffy-Joseff
8: BlueVRX-Stacy
9: Bunnishiwa-Marc
10: Momengah-Alex
11: Himynameisdaniel-Daniel
12: Tjoz-Tim
13: DTGriff
14: Kalt-Al
15: Fitter-Matt
16: Ofey-Irving
17: MissAussie-Caitlin
18:

Out of this list, we have 7 people who are attending:
1: Shamoo-Shannon + 1 SA
2: Longinus-Oscar VIC
3: Trojanhorse-Erin SA
4: Six420-Mark SA
5: Seffy-Joseff SA
6: DTGriff-Dave VIC
7: LukeD-Luke +1 SA
8:

Who else is going to attend???

So far we have 9 people, so i reckon we would need 2 holiday houses. The houses only have 3-4 bedrooms, one bedroom per person/couple.
Mark-Six420 has requested that he would like a garage. most places will only have a 1 or 2 under cover car spaces. My car lives out side in the weather anyway so i dont mind other people using the garages.

These are the holiday houses i am thinking about. We will be staying for 3 nights-Fri, Sat, Sun.

1: The Shack on Gerloff Bay
http://www.theshackongerloffbay.com.au/index.html
This place has 3 bedrooms-one queen, one double, 2 single bunks. A lock up garage, BBQ, table tennis table. No pets.
Cost $150 per night for 4 people, $10 for each extra person.

2: Baylev Seaside Accommodation
http://www.baylevseasideaccommodation.com.au/
This place has 4 bedrooms-1 queen, 1 double, 1 single bunk, 1 single bed. BBQ and enclosed yard for pets.
Cost $150 per night for 4 people, $10 each extra person.

3: No Vew Coastal Accommodation
http://www.stayz.com.au/119750?&numNigh ... 3&rating=0
This place has 4 bedrooms-3 queen, 1 single bunk. There is also a Cabin out the back, which has 1 double bed, 1 bunk bed, 1 fold out sofa. Pets ok. No smoking.
Cost $150 per night for 4 people, $10 each extra person. The Cabin is $100 for the first 2 nights, then $80 each night after that.

These houses are all at Carpenter Rocks which is only like 20 mins drive from Mount Gambier. From what i can tell the houses are all close by each other and there's a local pub within walking distance!

Pub... within walking distance... We're good to go then :)

I have a question though...

Do we pay dependant on how many nights each of us stay or is there a minimum amount?

E.G I'm only staying 2 nights so do I pay for 2 nights or do I pitch in an equal percentage to everyone else?

um yeah... i think if we work out how much it is per person for each night and you only pay for the nights u r there. i reckon that sounds fair.
these places are pretty cheap from the research i have done. if we were to get cabins in the caravan park, it would be like close to $100 per night for each person/couple. now it works out to be like $40 a night.
and also being 20mins drive from mount gambier, its like a mini cruise if we head into town!

..time to start saving up lol.

Also, what David said. Because I might only stay two nights as well.. parents are planning a field trip interstate and I might have to go during the break. -.-

Also these places look fully furnished with quite nice amenities.
Decent oven and gas stove and with proper bedrooms.
I'm not fussed about a garage. but would prefer a queen or double bed.
All 3 look places look great with the same standard or so.
Great find Shannon!

I'll update this thread late Tuesday 5th with my full confirmation, as for now my response is still tentative with +1 in tow because of work.
Edit: for the full 3 days

yeah the places do look alright. i like the idea that we have our own kitchen. that way we have somewhere to make breakfast each morning and if we want we can do a bbq or some sort of home cooked meal one night.

I love how Erin's already sorting out where we sleep and such. LOL. +1 to the idea though, I'm fine with camping as well if some of the others are up for it.
