Cable Routing for Rear View Camera
Posted: Mon Jul 04, 2011 1:42 pm
Hi All,
I am planning on installing a rear view camera and wanted to ask if anyone has any do's/dont's, suggestions etc. about the path I route my cables from the rear bumper (outside the car) to the inside of the car and towards the front of the car cabin (for power and video input into the LCD).
Wires:
Video - standard RCA (yellow) video cable.
Power - standard red & black together within an outer sleeve.
Position:
Rear Camera - Outside and attached to the rear bumper around the number plate area, or just above.
Power - To be sourced from the cigarette lighter
LCD - mounted on the dash
Thanks!
