Hey guys, today I locked my ralliart (I check it's locked by trying the rear door.)I use the door button to lock it. As I walked away from the car about 20 metres, the alarm went off. No one was near the car as it was still in site. I don't know if I accidently hit the keypad in my pocket but I don't think so. Anyway I return to the car, unlocked it with the keypad, checked all the doors and locked it again.
Any ideas what cause the alarm?
Also does the alarm reset If I did not return to he car?

I ended up turning off my alarm got the sh!ts with it going off all the time for no reason. If you want to rip your cup holder out you'll find your sensitivity control in their or the off switch is in the glovebox.

Beep as in horn beep? Or you mean the inbuild alarm system beep in the car? (which the ES, VR and VRX I think don't have..)

The VRX, Aspire and RA that have the smart key emit a small beep when locking and unlocking.
However, the ETACS ECU can be programmed to toot the horn when locking and unlocking. It is quite loud however.
See your dealer, they have to set the function in the ETACS UCU via the MUT-III computer. They may charge you, depending on the dealer. Chances are if you are getting a (paid) service they'll do if for nothing. Check with your dealer.

My alarm used to randomly go off, found it was the sound sensor inside the car, which on mine was under glovebox. I just moved it and I don't seem to have that problem anymore
