So I got an engine warning light on my lancer and I plugged an OBII scanner in and it said faulty right rear indicator, which works perfectly fine. I have LEDs in my tail lights with resistors on them so its not that, does anyone know what it might be. Because i dont want to take it to mitsubishi under warrenty only to have to take out my CAI before hand so they dont accuse that causing it.

Swap left-to-right and right-to-left
If the problem changes to the other side of the car, the problem is with the light or the load resistor, if the problem stays, it's wiring / something else.
If the problem
does move to the other side, swap just the resistors over, and again see if the problem travels with the load resistor or stays with the LED.
Shouldn't take more than five minutes...

I switched the bulbs and now the code has changed to P0703 (Brake Switch "B" Circuit) I know I took it to a mechanic ages ago and they changed the brake light switch. so does anyone know what it could be?

Put the original standard lamps back and see if problem goes away...
