Thats funny, a couple of us were looking at that at a meet the other weekend. Funnier still it was me and (whitenight) Ken.

I thought one would be for the fog light on the overseas models. Tow bars do usually have 8 pins, so maybe that is the other one.

In regards to the trailer wiring harness the area that needs to be connected is behing the rear left hand side shoulder rest.
You do need to run the ecu module.
I know this as I have actually just installed one to my lancer.
the tow bar it was supplied from Mitsubishi with a complete set of instructions.
Turned out to be very basic to do
