Are there any delete kits for the NA Lancers?

Something like this (Source):

I'm inclined to think it wouldn't necessarily fit that easily to a CJ either without modifications to the bumper? I have a mate who has the delete kit on his MR.

Well PYLee has ordered a set.

No it will not fit. The fog light shape on the NA and Evo and RA are all different.

the size of the fogs are quite different , i'm sure if your really keen on a fog delete , you could get some mesh and DIY it , might need some drilling tho

Was there a particular reason why you wanted to delete the fogs?

The ES has no foglights, so you could use those grilles. IMO the NA Lancers look better with the fogs than without.

Would be awesome if there was something like this for the stock bumper. Protruding edges in the same colour as the main grill surround would look fairly nice.

I currently have the ES and while the fog lights do probably look better than without, I'm not a huge fan of them still. I just like the look of those two parts looking like 'air ducts'.

I know that the above picture is of an Evo, was just using it as an example. I wouldn't want to try and retro fit that kit. But I'm sure there would be a demand for something like this for NA Lancers right? Enough that someone would be producing kits?

Sorry, I didn't realise you had an ES :)

I have never seen kits other than for the turbo cars.

Would probably have to have someone handy with fibreglass make some.

find someone who has put fog lights in their car (that didnt before) and buy them, then cut the middle out and put some mesh in behind it.

Or just cut yours up

If you get/make air ducts I'll cry if you don't get a CAI :P

Couldn't you get ES covers, cut out everything but the screws, and get a fiberglass place to make some ducts attached to them?
Then yeah, put mesh behind for rocks etc. Black mesh or spray-painted black mesh...

Or does fiberglass not work like that

You would have to build a template out of of chicken wire or the like, and then apply the mat and resin.

You could probably use the original covers as a starting point.

It would be relatively simple for someone who is handy with fibreglass.

One thing to note with fibreglass though. It is a lot more susceptible to stone chips etc.

Don't think anyone has fashioned a kit yet because you'd essentially be paying money to delete something which was optioned up in your car (i.e. the fog lamps). Only reason it's available for Evo is because the SST transmission can get a bit hot and it was found that removing the fog lamps using the delete kit could help cool it more effectively on the track.
