Hey all,
Looking into getting an Evo 9 spoiler and Im curious if it uses the VRX or the Evo X mounting holes on the boot, or if it needs completely new ones to be drilled. Does anyone have any knowledge/experience with this?
Much appreciated,
Brian

I would be very surprised if it was a direct replacement.
If you are lucky the new spoiler will cover the holes of the old one.

Just checking, I know theres a company who makes evo 8/9 spoilers here in sydney specifically for the CJ but charge $700ish for it.
This is what was on infinites ride etc

Sorry I don't have a definitive answer for you but like aspir3, I too would be surprised if it fitted directly.
You would best be advised to actually ask the supplier to provide you a picture of the base and make an educated guess. Look at the surface area covered by the base mount point. If it covers, I think that's good enough.
The screw on points would be unlikely to line up if the shape is any different either.
So you'd have some patching up of holes before you can mount up.

I saw an 8 spoiler (or are they the same?) for <$400 on an australian site yesterday. Didn't say what it was made of though...
Might be worth hunting around unless thats what you want to go with.

Hey guys i bought my evo 8 MR spoiler of ebay brand new for 300 delivered and it is the exact copy from an evo 8 MR with the carbon fibre insides and the middle is high quality carbon.
And yes you will hafto drill 2 new holes into your boot to install this spoiler but it will be well worth it because it looks stunning and it is great for rear view vision also!! If anyone is really interested pm me and ill give you more info.
