Hey guys I was just wondering if an evo x rear diffuser fits on a normal cj lancer or do you need the whole rear bumper? If you need the whole rear bumper does it fit on with no problems or is work needed?

I suspect your question was because you saw them for sale on Lancer Shop?



But note the line they put in:

Fits: Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X 08-09 (will ONLY fit MR models)

Let's try and look at this objectively then. Here's a picture of the Evo X rear in all its glory:



and this is a normal lancer:



Just note the section above the license plate. It's a thin line on the NA Lancer between the 2 rear reflectors.

Look at the Evo's rear bumper bar. It's quite a thick line of plastic between the reflectors. So no a genuine Evo X rear diffuser wlll not fit directly on. It wasn't made to. You do need a whole bumper bar.

Simplest solution is to get an aftermarket CJ Lancer Kit which is designed to look like the Evo bar.

... or go all out and do a full Evo conversion!
