at 160km/h it has +4KG of downforce I think.. (something close to that if I'm wrong :P)

That was what the Vortex Generator on the Evo 8/9 was rated at anyway, It'd be similar on the 10 I would imagine

based on how the vortex generators work on a aircraft wing, it is placed well forward on the wing, to allow the airflow over the control surface to be more effective.

I think these VGs on the lancer roof are too far back to affect the airflow over the rear of the car, just creating drag (very minor drag)

all that being said, they still look the goods though

this is just my opinion...

where the VG is on the lancer, its to breakup the airflow going over the car to lessen the drag, not increase it, wind going over a normal car creates a spinning mass of air behind the rear window, creating drag, the VG lessons that swirling air and lessons the drag.

Honestly though, show of hands who got it just for the aerodynamics? :P

I am sure no one fitted the vortex generators for it's added performance.

Looks only.

oh i bought it coz the car was soo unstable when going over 180ks, but now it sticks to the road like glue :D

im only joking, got it coz it looks good

yer of course everyone says they got it for looks as everyone would, but the question from ROBY71 was does it have other purposes, and yes it does.
