As some may know i am moving house...

Unfortnatly I left my car out on the street for 30 minutes because we needed the truck in the driveway to get stuff out of the garage and i told mum that i wanted to take my car back home because i didnt want it sitting outside in an area im not in

So we took the truck over to the new place, unloaded all the stuff and drove back over to pick up my car and the cats. Ive unlocked the doors to get the cats in the car, and my alarm pager went off letting me know that the alarm had gone off. So i go over to the car and was completely shattered when i saw the drivers side rear quarter pannel and bumper...

Excuse my language, but some inconsiderate dick backed into my car and didnt leave a bloody note!!!!!! Cant believe this...I always say i want my car in the garage, but i left it out on the street for 30 mins and this happend.

Heres pictures of the damage....

Thankfully ive only got to pay a $550 excess insted of $2500 since im taking the claim out under my mothers name...problem is i dont have $550...This accident couldnt have come at a worse time...

Hopefully work can give me more hours. Ive booked the car in for repair for 18th of January and long as though i can get the $550 before then ill be okay

Just really cant believe this happend.

When i went to get the quote, they said that they will replace the rear bumper, and the one good thing i see coming out of this is me getting an RA rear bumper.

As many know I need an RA VIN to get RA parts...If theres any melbourne members that would help little young tadz0rz out with giving me there VIN number so i can get an RA bumper i would be in your debt. Im going to go in there tomorrow just to confirm with the repairer that if i can get the VIN for the RA bumper that he can source it and get the part. Whether it would be from PMR or somewhere else i dont know but we'll see.

Console me pleaseeeee!!!!!

Bad news, mate. No-one got a rego?

Same thing happened to someone I know in a supermarket car park. A good citizen left a note on their windscreen with details and the rego of the offender. The police tracked her down, interviewed her and then charged her (I think with leaving the scene of an accident).

We know a b#$tard trick some try is to make a show of leaving a note on someone's windscreen, thinking any witnesses will think they are doing the right thing and leaving their details. Except it's a blank piece of paper .......

So if you see that happening, take down their details and check the note they've left .......

Sorry to hear mate, has happend to me so I feel your pain.

I'm interstate currently so not near my car but Ofey has my VIN as it was needed to get someone a RA badge.

Feel free to get it off Ofey so you can order your parts.

Feel sorry for you mate especially considering how much you love that car. I have my own post relating to these woes with others scratching and denting my car up but yours is pretty bad.

Worst bit is paying considerably for other peoples mistakes. $550 is no small chunk of change especially at this time of year.

Hope it all works out in the end (Y)

Hey TadzOrz, I know how it feels because it's happened to me three times with past cars in various situations.

It's happened now and nothing (not even the offender) can reverse it.

Just remember one thing, "Something Good always comes after Something Bad"

I know it's going to cost you money, but money is something that can always be overcome with time.

Dont let your feelings and emotions get you down. Rather let your contentment with a RA Bar please you sense's. Strive for this instead of dwelling in anger.

Remember: You were'nt thinking about an RA Bar before this incident occoured today. It's just a case of someone else at fault providing an avenue. $550 for a brand new RA Bar, that's pretty cheap.

PS: Just think about the originality you will have over others, how many Club CJ members have this set-up.

My Spin on Things We Can't Control
Hope it helps ease your pain.

Cheers: Sam.

Tadz: In case you can't make the A$550, talk to me when the time comes and I'll front the rest for you first as a loan.

I'd much rather lend you money than get cheated by some random swine on this site.
