NEED ADVICE IN MY NEW PROJECT

Postby ARMANDO » Mon Oct 12, 2009 10:09 am

I'm just waiting this week for the EVO X nose. and i need some advise in how in going to paint it.

I was thinking in paint the nose in a different color than black. ( my car is X42 black) so I was thinking in a metal gun or something like that.
anyway i was just wondering if is possible to buy a color similar/same to the front grill.

any advise?

an perhaps somebody know if i can find the x42 black color in spray paint?

thanks

A smash repairer can make the paint up for you - some car shops (Repco I am pretty sure does it) can make the paint and put into aerosol can for you.

Have you checked that the nose for Evo will match up to the front wheel arches of your ES? As far as I know, the EVO is wider....

I think he's just referring to nose grille, not the whole bumper so should be fine. just gotta cut holes on bumper.
But i would opt for smash repair for paint. much better finish than can sprays.

I found a hi temp paint at Bunnings that is exactly the same colour as the stock evoX nose and grill! Its a grey/aluminum finish, looks the part!

yes it is just the nose not the full bumper...
this is something i want to do it by my self, is just a small part to paint and i just think the work shop is just to much (nothing personal, it just my opinion ...) especially for such a small part. I don't want to spend more in paint than the part lol

so repco does that ... cool thanks for that advise ,

somebody else have an opinion in which color I'LL should used ?

Did you paint that by your self or do you send it to a work shop?
