Hi , I’m just wondering if anyone has ever cut a N/A bonnet to fit Ralliart/ Evo vents on it . Would it work? or no?

Thanks

They're structurally different and use different materials. This thread is probably worth a read...
Another idea would be to make a faux RA / Evo bonnet, i.e. non-functional, but it would be a lot of work.

There was an RA bonnet on gumtree a while back in SA, they only wanted only a couple of hundred for it...

A good second hand evo/ralliart bonnet will be around $1,000

Depending on where you are this could be an option?
It is carbon Fibre though so look at it very carefully if you consider it/it is still available.

Yeah the massive bummer about the bonnet is it’s price tag, I’ve seen some for 1000 bucks too

Maybe get a cheap stock CJ one from the wreckers and see if it can be tastefully modified... just do a better job than Clarkson!

Go have a chat to a custom hot rod shop or similar , these guys can do this kind of work in their sleep
I remember chasing this up with a few custom hot rod shops up north and was from memory quoted only a few hundred to get the job done.
I also happen to have met a young man who took to his bonnet himself and dropped in some Air scoops.
It doesn't look too bad I guess
Unfortunately they are mounted out wide where they don't really serve much purpose
Looks ok though to look at though
