Hey guys, saw dis
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/2008-TO-2015 ... SwFNZW1FIC

really like it, plan on getting it. but practicality over looks is how i want to go

as is, i scrape on my driveway unless on an angle already, its a small decline before the start of my driveway so that adds a bit more risk (Stock suspension) yet i want to lower it. which obviously means more angle to avoid scraping

if i add this lip, how bad do you think it will be? i would like to stay above the 100mm to stay legal. and also, to protect this lip a little i was planning on putting like a very small version of a rhino lip on, just to take the edge off any unplanned impacts

Anyone else got this? do ya scrape? if so what on and how bad

If you scrape now like you said when you add this its only going to get worse

I don't have a lip on my Ralliart bar and I still sometimes scrape on some driveways, even in my daily (the LX) I scrape on some things on driveways. Unfortunately it's not something that can be prevented I don't think

true, i just know from watching people that there can be a fine line between scraping and taking your bumper/splitter/lip to peices. curous what others have done and how i can relate

Only thing you can do is be careful and avoid crappy driveways where possible as well as avoid the crappy parking bollard thingy's that scrape underneath, my friends VRX pods were super scratched when he checked them one day to see what sort of damage had been done to them haha..

The pods on my VR-X are pretty scratched up, not too sure who's fault as I only checked them after scraping once, so could have been me or the previous owner, and my car is standard, luckily living in a relatively new and flat area of Melbourne the driveways and streets have flatter entry angles, you don't need a hilux with a 3" lift kit to avoid scrapes

If it’s cheap material and you scrape already there could be a very possible chance that you would most defs chip and scrape but possible even crack!

Wouldn't worry about the scraping too much......first driveway you go in to will tear it straight off.Seriously though, lips are a pain they do look great but they do get caught up on a lot off things.

I suppose you could look into rasing the lancer by about 3 inches and then shove the lip on and you would be right as rain
Infact if you could get an extra 3 inches out of it you might go close to be able.to shoehorn 20 inch tyres on the rear.
Lol

yeah what im worried about, especially if i lower it anyway. was hoping to put a sort of 'Rhino lip" to protect it but i think it might do more bad than good

plus i found a protectant lip with a blue outline i can put over just a centre lip if i wanted, BEST DAY EVA

My VRX is on stock suspension and already there are a couple of places I have to be careful and go slow, drop the height 1" and add this and I'd not be going a lot of places. But at least its not as bad as those who have trouble going to a fast food drive through without scraping the speed bumps!

Good thing I can't afford lower springs or this lip!

yeah my plan is to get all my kiddish mods done to whatever car before i have proper responsibilities like a mortgage and stuff like that. i may not save for more important things as quick, but i would rather the experience hahaha

part of me would love the lip but i dunno now, maybe the centre lip and then a rubber protection lip is the way to go
