Best people to call are called
"Touch up guys"

I have used them for scratch repairs on the lancer as well as repairs to scratched wheels
Highly recommend these guys. They come to you.even at work.

I wonder if they ever get non-paint related enquiries?...

That doesn't look too bad, I thought it was going to be a lot worse. At least you didn't have your front bumper ripped off in a carpark like I did. I reckon someone misjudged the turn, caught the front lip, and the bastard/b!tch just kept driving. Not the nicest thing to come back to after shopping! Ironically it's the same side that got a whole punched into the front wheel arch lining by a bird that I didn't really want to run over. The hole is still there! Although I'm shortly going to fix that. The front wheel arch linings are vented at the front, not sure if older models had that. Basically it allows air in the radiator, past the engine out through the wheel arch. The vent obviously is a bit of a weak point.

The worst thing with the scrape is that it isn't likely just a surface scrape, so it may need to be sanded and filled slightly before the touch up paint is applied. Not sure of the cost of having someone come out and fix it, it's not a big job but it will still likely cost a bit. It would be worth it on the bigger jobs though no doubt. How much are you willing to spend getting it fixed? Keeping in mind that next time you go shopping someone will probably be lazy and not put a shopping trolley away... an wayward shopping trolley can have a similar damage impact.
I might add a pic of my car once I style the exterior a bit :).

as a painter i know this job is a quick fix. would take 2 days maybe even 1 (if they just work on your bumper bar all day) Just take it to a smash repair shop (dont go to medicar or any smart shops) the repair it self would take 10 mins. Just the primer/prep would take the longest for this job.

Talk to the touchup guys
They can make up the exact paint colour
They can make you a small bottle of touchup paint
The local guy here can make up over 64,000 colours
Im betting they can fix this in a few hours or less and do it for a very reasonable price

How much do you think it would roughly cost for damage like mine?

I dont work for them. But im guessing around $100 .
I got some scratches in my rear driver side door fixed that were worse then those and it cost me $100 for those.
I can not speak highly enough about them

$100 is not as much as I thought it would be.

Only weeks after getting my CJ (used) I was backing into the garage and got a little too close to a toolbox causing a small mark right were the rear bumper corner meets the metal... but then a year ago (tomorrow*) someone rear ended me so it was fixed as they had to paint the side and rear to make it match.

How time flys!

Fortunately your damage is right down low, sow would not be noticed by just about all but you.
Pop down to Autobahn or Supercheep. and get a can of spray paint with your colour match, available
on a plate on your car. Spray a bit into a container and either using the small brush that comes with the paint or if you prefer something better a small artists brush carefully cover the scratch. Not perfect but cheap and ignorable!

By the way hard to judge but with the vertical mark try polishing it off!?

Better yet

I got a quote today from touchupguys and they asked $350. Is this a fair price?

Looks like the paint is metallic
Correct me if im wrong
Thats where the expense will be im betting

Did you ask them yourself?
If its metallic they may need to do a much bigger patch to make it blend

My paint is pretty much a plain white so its very forgiving when repairs done

More along the lines of what I thought it would be. TBH it's not worth it, better to fix it yourself. At least that way you already have the stuff for the next mark or scuff.

What does $350 get you?
1. A K&N air filter, RA snorkel, header and pipe wrapped
2. 3/4 of a 4-2-1 extractor, or a 4-1 street extractor with wrapping and heat protection
3. Professional noise deadening spray under the car for silence (huge difference)
4. Replacing stock speakers with high end alternatives
5. A Pioneer or Kenwood DAB+ double din head unit (just stereo, not navigation etc)
6. 200 cell metal cat, professionally fitted.
7. Axle back custom exhaust
8. Fix a small bumper scratch that will likely occur again, that you could make unnoticeable yourself

Is number 8 really worth it? :)
