VRX Bootlid Holes

I know some have removed their boot lid spoiler to replace it with a Duck Bill Strip that runs along the edge.
My question is the holes that are left, I've see some have a plate to cover the area where the spoiler would attach.
Just wondering if these are one of hand made or if someone sells them?

Why do you want to remove the spoiler? Personally I think the car looks strange without a spoiler
If it's for rear-view vision, I found that the EvoX spoiler actually allows you to see out the back better because it sits slightly higher, meaning it blocks a less crucial part of your view.

Suggest better way, Put apiece of household fly screen attached using fiberglass on the area under the hole, inside the boot, when set fill the hole on top with what ever filler you wish. Preferably something that can be contoured to level and where surrounding area can be wiped as clean as possible, before it dries, so it can be touched up, to save having to re paint the whole boot lid which I suppose is really the best thing to do.

Removing the rear headrests helps. Provided seats aren't in use!

It's about the same price to buy a new bootlid and paint it then to fix the holes. Not worth fixing.
Either plug the holes with rubber or plastic grommets or purchase a new bootlid and sell the old one. Another option is to swap bootlid with a member wanting a spoiler

Its just an idea I've been toying with for a while, yes its partly to do with rear visibility.
I know some have plugged the holes with hex bolts for that industrial look but I have seen some plates made to fit the space.
Can't afford the EvoX wing and don't want to fill the holes in case I decide to change it back.

Buy a boot with no spoiler off a wrecked Lancer?
It would be cheaper than going brand new.
Vrx/ra spoilers look great but I agree. Since adding mine to my LX it does kiss your mirror goodbye and blocks some vision. But looks > practicality

When I removed my wing I cut out some circles from matching colour vinyl used for car graphics.
With those on I had the chance to view the results without filling in the holes before I made up my mind.

Personally I think it looks a bit odd without a VRX spoiler, that being said, the lack of vision with the VRX spoiler is a bit of a trade-off. As for filling the holes getting some plugs from your local hardware store and sanding them down / painting them the same colour as your boot so they look flush would be your best bet.

Since your car is black, glossy vinyl stickers would be the cheapest option I guess. You can easily take them off if you decide to install the spoiler again.

I've got a few DIY options I was thinking about already. I guess the biggest downside of no spoiler is people thinking it's a ES spec and not the VRX but it would be a more stealth look with a discrete duckbill along the edge.
Happy new year!

I dont have a spoiler on mine and i think it looks mean. One thing that changes the look of it with no spoiler is having a sharkfin antenna. I dont know why but it makes it look sleek.
