Hey everyone,

Went to the muffler shop last week and I asked if they could cut out a slot like on the right side of the bumper so the muffler tip on the left can fit flush. They couldn't do it as they didn't specialise in any body work. Went to a panel beater nearby to see if they could do it, the guy said he could but not at the moment as he is going on holidays soon. So I went to another one.. This one said he could only do it if the bumper is fiberglass, which the stock bumper isn't. It this true? Can plastic not be mould? Should I try another panel beater? Or any other suggestions?

Thanks!

In theory yes it can be molded and the ideal solution would be to make a mold of the existing one in wood, heat up the other side and push the mold in place to leave an imprint. Probably not as easy as that.

I'd suggest an add on diffuser.

Depends, personally I'd just buy a EVO style bumper but that's $600 plus shipping, then painting so maybe $1k.

That said you can get add-on ones for less than $200 on eBay, plus painting.
