Has anyone had a sunroof retro fitted to their car? One big disappointment I had was not being able to get a factory fitted sunroof on my car when ordered. Looked around and found the Hollandia sunroofs by webasto who do the OEM roofs for Holden\Ford\Toyota.

The Hollandia 700 looks like a perfect integrated OEM fit as shown here:

Just curious to see if anyone had this done after the fact and how they are.

I would feel quite un easy performing it.

cutting a hole into the roof may compromise the structural integrity especially during a high speed collision or rollover and affect crumple.
I would want to see an engineering cert and then i wonder if insurance would even agree to cover it?

Think of the same way that a drilled rotor is also affected as opposed to being cast with ventilation holes which is much much stronger.

But don't get me wrong i lament that i could not get a sunroof on my car.

Not saying that I'll be doing it myself, will be getting them to do it. They have all the engineering and R&D down and extra strengthening bars etc if needed as you'd expect from a company that does this OEM for the majority of manufacturers. The agent that does the installs here in QLD does all the "dealer special" interiors that float around on cars from time to time. Done my research, just want to find out real world feedback is all.

Have sent an enquiry about getting it done, heard it's around the 4k mark, about what it costs as an option if the factory offered to this market...
