Suggestions on front bumper mods

Hey guys :)

So, I've finally decided that I really need to start doing some stuff to the Lancer because I have owned now for a year and a half, and I have done like the basics,

So, I've been looking at attempting to black out my front bumper again, and have found this stuff on Ebay for the Chrome Surround, that I will be spraying Pink :3

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/2M-Silver-20 ... 4ae144fc69

Just wondering, if this is the right thickness? or should I go thicker? or personal opinions or whatever..

Secondly, I would really like to put a lip on the front bumper, I feel like my front bumper is well out of place, for example in this photo here:

Was possibly wondering if I could have some suggestions/links on where to buy one :S As I honestly have no idea where to even start :3

I'm currently starting out with the small mods and then eventually I will be moving my way up to the more expensive things! :3 (Am also hoping for a set of VRX rims this year if I can find a cheap set on Gumtree etc, even though I cannot find any parts for my car in Tassie lol..)

:3

Any suggestions would be great

TIA <3

How much you want to spend and what look are you after?

Could go these for cheap:

Or for a bit more $:

or the DIY route like what's on offer here

The bottom one is the exact bumper I have right now lol, that one is just blacked out :P

Going through some of the old members rides last night, I stumbled across a V-Lip that I want, but unsure as to how to put it on and if I need the air dam thingys to have it on as well?

For starters, id do the black out. either mask and plasti dip or just a layer of vinyl.

you do need to have the airdam for the vlip. and also i believe if u go for the fiberglass replica airdam, its gonna have fitment issue with the lip.

personally i think vlip wont look as good unless your car is low. (something like emperor's car), so id get the airdam anda c-lip

But then I thought the same as Kyrus, that maybe it would look a little strange when the car isn't lowered....

Did you have to have air dams on to be able to put the lip on?

Edit: Just realised that I do! haha, *facepalm*

Hmmm, If you're thinking about a V Lip Court, we could possibly buy at the same time? and do the install together >_< I need the experience haha! It would look great on your VRX! :D

I definitely want to do the V-Lip :3 I really need to do the blackout of my bumper, but I really don't feel confident doing it by myself >_<last>_<

Oh wow that doesn't look out of place like I thought it might ^_^ Awesome :D Thanks D ^_^

I would definitely be up for that Tiff, great idea!!!!! :D Would be soooo much easier with help ^_^

Maybe we should have a 'dip day' too lol, I've been considering blacking out my front bumper too.... I've never tried it before but would like to give it a go. I've lost count on the number of YouTube vids I've watched over the past few months about dipping bumpers and rims whilst trying to decide whether to or not XD

Hi D, sorry where did you buy that one from? Is that from vox ms? I had a look on their website, it's pretty ordinary.

I shall definitely message you on Facbeook about this! I really want to do mine! Luckily for you, you only have the bumper bit to do xD I have my chrome to get rid of >_<!

Awesome ^^

I did :D put it in about 2 weeks ago....except.... I went red XD
It goes a lot better with all the red/orange lights in the dash already...
If I can get all the red changed to blue one day though, I can always change it ^_^
Hopefully will upload some pics and start a thread in the next few days, have done a few other minor things lately too ^^

I know right I'm super lucky the earlier models come without chrome XD it looks like quite a bit of work o.o
