just a warning if u r going to change your hood.

orginal hoods bend and can act as a sheild when in a crash to a degree
but aftermarket hoods can snap and sheer off and become somthing or a danger to the driver and others on the road just a thought if u are going to replace your hood with a aftermarket one..

Be carefull what kind of scoop you get though. If its suttle, it will work, but dont get some fullay sick NFS mongoose hood. Uber rice.

You want it to actually do something? like are you going to cut into your hood and respray your hood and everything?

Its a bit pricey.

Id honestly just go OEM and get a RA or EVO hood.

Pretty sure their the same thing but yeah lol

yeah i think so, though evo hood is probably the same just more expensive :S i think its a bit wider too

Id still take the evo hood for the OEM style EVO hood for $1000 than spend $20 at autobarn for some universal hood scoop and spend $300-400 on cutting holes in my hood sanding back, bondoing, sanding again n all that then to paint match again would just be a complete bitch.

Tadz's put it right. No point doing the hard yards yourself.
In this case just get one with the hoods already.

Everyone knows that I've been offering people a chance at this:

But I'd say Just wait for Shadow's Evo hood. No alignment problems, no color matching problems...nothing. Just a quality product.
I know I am... . *twiddles thumbs*

I think if he just lost the eyelids, he would be set. Its a uniuqe car, just got a little tooo much going on at the front.

The hood looks like its just got random scoops and air intakes everywhere. And actually, thats what i was talking about when i said NFS mongoose hood.

Not sure that hood would work ok with the RA as the turbo is down the back of the engine bay. Scoop needs to be further back along the hood, or some kind of wind tunnel under the hood to get air into the turbo area better.

doesnt really have to be functional.

If i had just a minor scoop on the right hand side of my hood id be happy. that way i might actually get some cold air into my short ram intake.

Hence why I have never understood the point of SRI in the SRI v CAI tussle.

CAI all the way.

Now that i think about it the CAI would of been better at the time. I will probably catch some flack for this but. In colder weather, like in the morning, after the car has warmed up a bit and i give it a quick squirt, i do notice some increase. Aint that much, but its there.

Probably not worth the $400 price tag but im still happy. Dresses up the engine bay and it makes it look like i know what im talking about lol.
