Hey guys, if you have already seen my other thread I have done some mods to my car (Plastidipping etc)
I thought I would give the "VHT Niteshades" a try and see how it went, so here goes!

Masked it all up and cleaned it with metholated spirits

Gave it afew coats, enough too still see out of it clearly and hopefully attract no bad attention

The lighting isn't the best but you can see how it I turned out, happy with the finish..also tinted side indicators

While doing this I had the idea of Debadging the "Lancer" and "ES" Logo's and also taking off the Diamond and Spraying it Matt black with Plastidip (if you have seen my last post I mentioned this)

Heres how it came out, haven't put the diamond back on just yet

Side indicators, also with Niteshades on them

Overall I am happy with the end product and it has only cost $17 to change it, would appreciate some feedback and am happy to answer any questions about how ive done this etc, Thanks Joel

Looks great..I think I will give this a try..where did you buy it from?

Also after spraying one layer do you let it dry before spraying the next? And after spraying the final layer do you remove the masking tape immediately or wait for it to dry? Ta!

Hey Aamir bought if from Autobarn for $17, Its Called VHT Nite shades and is in a purple can!
The way I did it was mask it up, sprayed one coat and left it probally 30 or so minutes and then sprayed another coat because I didn't think it was quite dark enough, I waited probally around another 30 minutes and then removed all the tape however it dries pretty quickly! But better to be safe then sorry...

Thanks again Mystique :D

Wow the tail lights remained fairly light which is good, I applied 1 coat then blending for the bits that ran a little bit, and it dried soo dark on both the vrx and the evo (pics in my CJ's thread link below), so I presume that you misted it on?, my side indicators did not turn out at all for some reason the nite shade did not stick at all,
Never had any cop trouble with mine, however I was on my P2's and didn't have to display my p plates,
Looks good btw, it's amazing how something so simple can make an impact

no worries Aamir good luck with it!

Thanks heaps dion and yeah we misted it on slowly and evenly, did a practice run on another set of lights but really am happy with the end result!

Thanks Erin and Ashley, I never use to be 100% keen on the sportsback but now I love the look of it with these on!! :D

Funny you say that, I had it completely debadged yesterday (was waiting for paint to dry on Mitsubishi diamond) and my mates dad questioned what kind of car it was and had it mistaken for a mazda of some sort!!
