Hey everyone

I'm considering doing something to my bonnet in the near future..lol
(Toss-up between rims or bonnet)

I'm not sure if I want to get a different bonnet (with vents etc, NOT one from mitsubishi :p) or just get vinyl stripes

IF I were to get stripes, what are your opinions on this style; http://clubcj.net/viewtopic.php?t=11251 (Dragan's ride). I think it looks great...but unsure if it will look ok on a silver cj....

Thanks

If I were the get strips I'd get his they look good ... Should be fine on silver coz its a lighter colour ... If it were blue I'd say no ;p ( dragon I love ur strips )

Oh yay...so good responses so far...might be cheaper and different then getting a whole new bonnet...unsure about costs though but will definitely ring/visit a few places.

I've been thinking about getting this done, but in Red to go onto my Black RA, just wondering how it'd look with the Bonnet vents being there and all. Or if I should start at the front of the bonnet instead of half way where the vents are.

:-) Glad you like the racing stripes :-).. Belle, you have seen them in person ... somehwere around the Hills Area maybe ?... let me know if you want any advice. I installed them myself using "knifeless" tape. I was tempted to change the matte black to metallic gloss black ....... maybe one day..

I used to spot you on carlingford rd I think, on the way to uni :) so I've driven past you in that traffic. I'm ok with matte black! But no way would I do it myself...they would be crooked and off centre! Lol.

As for the stripes, actually not as hard as you might think

I don't mind the stripes, but if I were you I'd want to do the wheels first. I think it would be hard to carry decals on factory wheels, it comes across to me as stingy.

If anyone is interested, this site helps a bit in terms of stripes/some other looks...its just a visualizer ...the colours are a bit off...but you get at least a rough idea

Note: it's an American site.

In addition to above..using my crappy artistic skills in a random ipad paint program. I'm just coming up with random ideas. Wanted to buy a cool bonnet but most of the designs I like are carbon fibre- I'm not gonna have something like that on my car if its illegal ( and I'm not forking out heaps of money for an engineers certificate). So until I find something I like...

What does everyone think?
(NOTE; these are my old rims)

Image I like this one more I think.
