Hey all getting my VRX rims this week
i've got a black lancer so want to paint the rims gloss white
How do you apply Plastidip. and how long does it last?
If its crap then i'll have to paint them myself

I was the same, I worried out pressure washers and little stones etc etc.
I've had my bumper and lower lip done now for about 3-4 weeks and the stuff is faultless!.
I've used a hose, scrubbed with a sponge etc and it still looks as good it did the day I applied it!

if ur doing it white, might as well spray paint them or powdercoat. plastidip tends to attract dirt. unless u can clean ur rims everyday.
if u still wish to proceed. watch out where the lug nuts will sit, if u spray on that area, it will create a ripple once u tighten the nuts. then it will start to peel off.

Honestly, people use PlastiDip for the reversibility more so than durability. I would have powercoated mine too, but wasn't sure if I wanted permanent black wheels; especially if I'm going to sell the car...soon.
