Badge adhesive

Postby Kyrus » Thu Aug 02, 2012 9:57 am

Hey guys, just wondering what type of adhesive is used to stick badges onto cars without doing damage to paintwork later on.

If anyone knows how to get my hands on some oem stuff that would be great, and also, are they tape style or paste style?

yup 3m tape. and a sharp knife to trim it. Depending on how intricate the emblem is you may want to trace it out on the tape first, then cut it out just inside the line and then apply it to the emblem to avoid seeing any of the tape once its stuck on.
for example my illest badge, i first stuck one side on and then cut away the excess and it was a pain

I know for sure that the front diamond badges on the Lancer use double sided tape too.
