Car done, looks good, will need to let it cure fully for a couple of days in the warm weather. I will post pics when centre lip arrives and is fitted.
Bobcat mentioned the application technique in an earlier post to this thread.
I gave it 4-6 light coats, do not apply too wet or it will run and then you will have problems removing them as it cannot be sanded easily like paint to remove any ridges/lines.
Scoring the masking tape with a sharp trimming knife and carefully removing it IS ESSENTIAL as it does skin over the tape. Any attempt to just pull off the tape will rip up the edge.
I did in fact remove it off the towing plug cover and it comes off perfectly clean and is a stretchy thin rubber like a condom/balloon.

True, but at least you can let it dry, then remove it and re-do it if you goof it up.

Good advice! I should have mentioned that. The other thing you could do would be put a new piece of tape on after each coat. That should prevent there from being too much build up of paint on the tape to pull up the edges when you remove it, but still running a razor blade along the edge of the tape before removing it is also a good thing to do just to ensure a clean edge.

lol Also true! It's like spray on latex. Just don't go coating human bodyparts with it. I doubt it's as safe as latex bodypaint.

After washing the car today I must say I think it looks good and should be very durable. I will post as months go by to update on the finish/duarability.
Will post pics after I get my new centre lip get it painted and mounted.

Yep, I washed my car today and I agree it holds up well, just as long as nothing gouges it or peels up the edges it should last indefinitely.
I'm very tempted to pick up a can of this, been following it pretty closely and it sounds awesome. There's a retailer around me so I'll give them a call and see how it goes.
I'm not concerned if it will peel off, just rather happens if I want to take it off after 1 year? Hopefully the paint underneath is fine as it was before I applied it.
Sadly I haven't heard any results of people using it for 3-4 months, removing it, then examining the paint.
I think this will be the easiest way to do the blackout.
