If it comes with all the cable shown in there (enough to get to the back of the car) then I think it's an okay deal - all you really need to do then is buy a compatible camera? If I knew how to pull the dash apart and get a cable to the back of the car without any issues I'd do it as I'm pretty sure my old man has a reversing camera at home he isn't using.

Guess it depends what comes with the camera, I would assume the camera would come with enough cable to get to the dash - if that is the case then you are paying $58 for the connector. IF I get some free time I might take the MMCS and have a look around - if it is that easy I'd have a go fitting a camera. PS Davee what do you mean by your Dad's midget cars?
Is the old car, they have a new one now.
But he helps out with the car (Troy Jenkins drives it - he works for my old man who is based down in Port Kembla doing Bulk Contracts stuff).
They've got a camera on the front of it, and one on the back. He got them from the company who do the reversing cameras on all of our tankers based out of Port Kembla - so we can get them quite cheap (he has given my old man a few free so far).
And yeah if the camera you buy already has the length of cable then it is quite expensive so definitely worth while hacking one up and doing a DIY job. If you can buy just the camera seperately then it's probably easier buy that one.

Just to add to this, I have the install bulletin for the reverse camera system soft copy. So if you want to see the instructions, PM me your email address.
I've also got a quote from our sponsors Preston Motors Ralliart for all the parts needed (the cover is for Grey, all other colors same price):
c) MZ380426EX - MMCS Reversing Camera = A$199.50+
d) MZ607437EX - MMCS Reversing Camera Cover (Effect Grey) = $22.57+
e) MZ360277EX - MMCS Reversing Camera Harness $36.22+
+: You need to add 10% to the total for GST.
Surely someone is going to tell me he can get the same part cheaper at another dealer. Just wait for it! At least I beat the American price linked to above.

Decent price for the harness that is ofey! ($20 cheaper than the one Hoggy posted anyway). Let me know how you go with the camera Hoggy, I'll see what I can find out from my old man and whether these harnesses are generally one size fits all for being hooked up. I may be interested as I'm usually always parking in tiny car parking spots and I really dont want to fudge the back of my car up
