Yeah, the guys at TJM Dandenong seemed to know all about it so it was good, just a shame really.
Shipping may hurt bringing these in, as they can't travel by air
Maybe we should try the Export contacts on this page:

edit:
just a quick and dirty test with this stuff, it came off pretty well
test #001 (one coat only)

Thanks Criteek,
There is a primer for use on metal to make it stick better.
I was mainly concerned about just spraying over an unprepped high gloss clearcoat finish.
I may go and get a tin or 2 of the black as only one expensive place here in Perth has any apparently and everyone back east has said it is not available.

Hi Bobcat,
Did you sand the surface 1st or just clean and spray on???
How many coats and time in between coats???
How much did you use to do the number of coats you did??
Lastly, my big concern is will it easily start to peel off if you rub over an edge??? if that is going to be a big potential problem I would rather paint it instead as I do not want to have to redo it. The black colour is apparently almost completely unavailable here in Aust and it is more than 3 times the US price.

No sanding needed, just clean it first. If you sand it, then it might not be removable, or as removable. I put on about 4 coats since that's what the directions recommend. It says wait 30 minutes between coats, but I didn't wait that long. You just don't want to get too much wet paint on it at once or it will run. I'd say one can would be enough to do it several times over. I had to re-do it once, and I still had some left after the second time so I coated my license plate frame too and the can still isn't totally empty. I'm sure if something scratched it hard enough it would damage it, but it won't just peel off by itself. I'm wondering how it will hold up to the pressure washer at the car wash though. lol If you want something permanent I'd go with paint, but I like this stuff because it looks just as good and it can be removed or re-done easily. It sucks that you guys are having a hard time finding it and that it's so expensive. Maybe I should pay you guys a visit and smuggle some with me.

Hi Bobcat, Thanks Sooooo much for your reply, I was just about to go and get some right now while I still can get it although at the high price.
Did you mean 1 can would be enough to do the 1 JOB,ie the entire 4 coats,
several times over if you need to redo it???

Yep, one can is plenty to do it several times if it gets messed up or just needs to be re-done over time. You guys that live close enough could chip in on a can and do several cars.

Thanks Bobcat.
I bought 2 cans yesterday and will start pulling grill off and masking car today.
Now that yours is dry and cured how resistant does it seem re edges not lifting if rubbed etc. IE is it sticking well????
Numerous reports I read said it is very resilient.
I hope so.
