Just a follow up from another post about installing the front grill RA badge and, more specifically, getting it straight. Are there any tips anyone can pass on?

I have the same issue, I asked Ofey and he advised me that this badge is designed for the RA grille and not ours, so we may need to make a custom bracket out of a piece of metal to make it sit right.

I still haven't got around to doing mine, if you get yours done let me know how :)

I'm not real handy, so I don't think it will be any time soon... I have a service coming up and was even thinking of asking if the dealer could put it on as they owe me a few favours - not least of which is replacing a section of the driver's door scuff trim which was all marked and scratched when I took delivery of my car and reapplying all of the carbon fibre dash/gearbox trim which pops off every time I go over a bump...

I tried to but the salesman never returned calls/was impossible to get hold of so I went to the dealer principal and finally got some action. Would you believe when my decal sticker finally came in (after me calling and emailing them every few days for two weeks) I had to give a hand to the salesman to put it on. Talk about amateur hour. Needless to say my customer survey comments weren't at all flattering. Really surprising and really disappointing considering my RX is the first new car I've ever bought...

Right on the money SIR-VRX, does their reputation proceed them??? Worst customer service I have experienced in a long, long time and for anything - let alone a $30,000 motor vehicle. The local Toyota service department for our other car was far, far superior for a $200-$300 job.

They don't have a good REP at all... From what I've heard.

Every other Mitsubishi dealership up here seems to be pretty good though.

Hotlanc is fighting with them ATM as they scratched his interior door plastics and his side skirt is sitting out off the car about 3mm but they tried to tell him "That wasn't us" and "They're all meant to be like that" yet the side skirt on the other side is fine and on every other car in the yard it is fine also... Hmm...

Avoid them like the plague. Take your warranty issues and servicing to another dealership.

I was definitely thinking of going elsewhere, but was worried that as the salesman who sold me my car is the only one who's seen the scuff marks and scratches, another dealership wouldn't honour my claim. Even though my car's still only done 750km or so, they may just put it down to normal wear and tear. There was a handful of spots both inside and out where small scratches and marks were obvious apart from what I've mentioned so I was not (and still not am) happy. I may be pedantic, but I paid for new and that is precisely what I expect - not next to good as.

Exactly! if you buy a new car you want everything to be new not scratched or broken. I'm sure most of us would do the same thing in the same circsumstance

I hope you didn't pay 30 grand for an RX :shock: :shock: ???

To get the badge to sit straight, you might need to do what I did and sand off a part of the badge base that has the triangle shape on it - this is what prevents from the badge sitting straght on our grilles - as mentioned before, it was made for the Ralliart grille, which is different.

I actually paid more than $30,000... because I put a heap of extras on like a sunroof, window tints, fog lamps, rear park sensors, etc. etc. Made me even madder that after I went for all factory stuff, they still didn't look after me.

kinsei74: you don't have to feel hard done by. Most of the stuff you got are FACTORY options. So long as you didn't ask for OEM parts like mats and perhaps the audio control switch, you're fine.
