Front Mitsubishi Badge

Postby Panther4B11 » Thu Jan 22, 2009 6:29 pm

I was wondering if anybody has successfully taken off the front mitsu badge and replaced it with a differant one. I want to take mine off and completly wrap it with red vinyl or would it be easier just to paint it red?

Just draw an mad logo on some cardboard - I've seen some people do that with number plates, looks sick as man.

I also tried doing that but it did'nt turn out as good as I had thought it would and to cut out the three diamonds with enough to cover the edges too would just be to hard to make look good. So I thought that if I took the badges off I would be able to wrap it the whole way around make it look more professional. Then use some 3M double sided tape to stick them back on.

Use a metal ruler & and sharp utility knife to cut out the diamonds,
turn the vinyl over and draw and mark your template on the backing paper, and cut those suckers out.....

Image
come in 4mi from the edge all the way around.
i think if you try and wrap the entire badge it would be hard, and involve a lot of little cuts....
and if you stretch the vinyl it will discolour,
if you don't like the gap on the edge you can always make them bigger...just adjust your measurements.
