VG & Spoiler

Postby Graham » Sat Oct 17, 2009 5:40 pm

I finally got around to doing a decent noticable mod to my car

Bought a vortex generator & Evo X spoiler from x-factor design and installed them both on there today.

Vortex Generator was fairly easy to do, I did break one of the clips to the black 'thing' on the roof, but I'll ask the dealer for a new clip when I get my car serviced on Thursday.

Spoiler was also fairly easy, had to borrow a drill but once I got one I drilled the holes and just bolted it on.. I only did the two side screws because the middle two looked way too confusing and the spoiler doesn't look like it's in a rush to go anywhere too soon anyway :P

The service from x-factor was amazing, I paid for the products on Sunday and had them at my door on Friday!! Very fast shipping and products arrived in mint condition. I'd definately recommend this to anyone else after any of their products :D

And now... pics!

I thought that the Evo wing from X-Factor used the same holes as the stock VRX one???

I'm glad you got good service from x-factor, i've been PMing and emailing for about 4 weeks about buying the leather pack and haven't read a word back from him!

Spewman, please do a write up on your experience putting in the leather... I am on the cusp of getting it myself (add photos too!).

You're right, not a bad word to say about him...

Thanks guys - I think it uses the stock holes, there are three holes on each side for spoilers, I just drilled the top and bottom which was on the guide

I believe the VRX only uses 2 holes, and one of them is slighly different to the EVO. Don't quote me though!!

Here's a picture to make it clearer, for the vrx spoiler, you'll have the green and red holes already, so you'll only need to drill the yellow one.

For a wingless trunk, you'll need to drill 2 holes each side, at the yellow and red dots(without the third hole for rivet)
