Paint type question.

Hello all,

Story is so far: I am looking at buying some OEM side skirts in the same colour code as my car (a39). The seller however tells me that as the side skirts are from a 2013 Lancer the paint is not the same as my 2009 lancer. He says:

"This is the remake of a39 which came out on the 2013 lancer it's almost exactly the same just a little darker.

If you really want them I'll paint them a39 for $130.00 which is cheap as a39 is a xirallic pearl colour which makes it a little more expensive"

Is this legit? If so can anyone advise how different/similar the paint would be?
