So just got it painted and fitted.

Safe to say doesnt fit very well. it goes around the car fine, looks alright from a far. but has gaps on the sides.

But does look good... from far...T.T

Can you press the gaps together with your hands?

If you can get them to fit together without too much strain, you just need to run a bead of automotive sikkaflex behind the joint and hold the two halves together with lots of tape and, if necessary, some clamps while the sikkaflex cures.

You can wipe off any excess (before it dries) with prepsol or a quick wipe with thinners (you'll need to re-wax the paint though).

I did it with my diffuser and it looks a treat! (I need to do one spot on my LHS side-skirt too...)

looks good man.

you never get 100% fitment with after market parts
you can sikkaflex it but i think it looks ok as is.

@Zaphold what do you mean with tape as well. was thinking of using sikkaflex though. cause it can be pressed together.

Was just thinking of using just automotive sikkaflex though, is cures nessesary?

The tape's just there to hold the seam together while the sikkalfex sets (clamps with a bit of rag under them to protect the paintwork will do as long as you don't crush anything) - I used a combination of blue masking tape and duct tape. Duct tape works best!

By curing, I mean set/dry - best to leave it overnight.

You can jam plenty of sikkaflex behind the skirt to grip, just wipe off the excess around the join where you can see it.

I had some biggish gaps between my rear diffuser and the rear bar, but pressed, squeezed and cajoled the thing into a reasonable position and glued the edge down with sikkaflex - the finished result was pretty good (and yours being a dark car, the join will almost disappear).


On mine, while the black line was almost invisible, I ran a 2mm dark blue trim strip around the join (like the chrome stuff everyone uses around the grille) and it looks pretty much 'factory' now...

if ur willing to part the cash you could go to a panel beater and and ask them to try and fuse it to the bumper with fibre glass.
if ur original bumper is too good try find a donor one
