I've got those exact ones on my car right now and they're perfect. Easy fit, no drilling. Just gotta have a socket wrench

Are these safe to put on an RA/Evo bonnet? The reason why I ask is that this is a lighter panel than the standard Lancer's. I have similar struts in another car, and it did indicate that they're not recommended for lightweight hoods like carbon-fibre, as they may raise unintentionally while driving and cause road accidents.

I bought some carbon wrapped struts from Taiwan, free shipping and they arrived within 3 days. And took a whole 5 minutes to install on my activ. They actually hold the bonnet up higher the the supporting arm.

Surely it wouldn't pull itself out of the latch?

I got the redline struts on mine, had them on now for around 3 years with no problems, they didn't have to bolt on option when I got mine but they're still easy to fit.
