Car Covers

Postby Syke » Mon Jul 02, 2012 1:54 pm

Was wondering if anyone knew of or has a quality car cover. while out at work my car spends a lot of time in the sun. I have been told that they need to be able to breath otherwise in the harsh summer heat it will ruin the paint.
Preferably something easily obtainable in australia.

so far i have only found this car cover from supercheap, any good?

Let me offer a little advice here.

Whichever cover you look at, the brands website or on the box should have a list of cars vs correct sizes.

It helps if it has a reinforced hole on each side and at front and rear. The side ones so you can put a locking cable thru it, the cover may even come with one, a steel cable that is.

The front an rear holes so you can put straps thru from front to rear to hold the ends on.
If left on when you go on holidays, lets say in an open carport for eg I found that the wind would lift up the elastic ends over the front and rear of the car. So tying them together helped greatly with this.

I had a triple layer breathable design, most important to let moisture out. After being covered for a couple of months I found the car as clean as the day I washed it and put the cover on.
Shop around and search online, some great products available at a decent price.
