V-lip or Center lip?

Postby VRXCESS » Sat Mar 05, 2011 9:04 pm

I have been looking at putting either a V-lip or C-lip on my car.

I was wondering if members who have either one could chime in with their thoughts?

If you could also detail where you bought yours, price inc. shipment, quality of the lip and also accuracy of the fitment, that would also be greatly appreciated.

V Lip. No question.

C-Lips don't finish the front as much as a V-Lip will.

Also the materials used. V-Lip is made of PU which means NO scrapage leading to eventual breakage. The C-Lip is FRP and can crack or break and SCRATCH badly. I know since I used to have one on mine.

Try Scorpion Motorsports via eBay.

I got my Vlip last month from scorpion off ebay. Really happy with it. Scrapes a little since I've lowered my car but with it being made of PU it can take a few bumps.
I put it on myself with 6 bolts and some sealant. Fitment was really good, no gaps or anything to trim. Mine came shipped in good condition just a little flake in the paint which i was able to fix up with some plastidip

shows the difference in the centre lip and the vlip which wraps all the way around the front.
Might be some other versions of the vlip around but the ones I've seen all require the pods that came stock on the vrx trim

Install is pretty straightforward 30min to an hour all up. You'll need a drill, extra set of hands, and 6 screws or bolts. Drill the holes in the vlip then test fit and when you've got it all lined up, mark out where to drill through the bumper. If you go with bolts you'll need to take out some of the guards under the car to fit your hand in. Then put it on for good with the supplied 3m tape and bolt it up.
