number plate mount question

Mine is mounted on an angled holder to maintain the 90 degrees viewing angle, but I could also argue that 'due to the construction of the vehicle it is not practicable to comply with the requirements' because it interferes with engine cooling and 'the number plate is affixed in a way that complies as far as practicable with the requirements'.
