u can get the holes repaired/filled in by body shops

Mine is mounted on an angled holder to maintain the 90 degrees viewing angle, but I could also argue that 'due to the construction of the vehicle it is not practicable to comply with the requirements' because it interferes with engine cooling :) and 'the number plate is affixed in a way that complies as far as practicable with the requirements'.

I think cops constantly pulling over EVO drivers saying "that is illegal" and issuing defects that had to be reversed may have played a small part also.
