That all depends. I think cost of materials should be covered and maybe 10-20% per hour of the cost of materials. Or a flat rate, cost of materials and 150 on top. All depends what you have to do as not every kit will be the same process. Some may need more prep work before painting. Also depends if you like the person or not If they a prick you dont give them a discount of any kind.

Well, Panel shops usually charge around $100 per hour for panel and paint.
To prep and paint my front lip, side skirts and rear lip and wing properly it took me about 30 labour hours. This does not include drying down time.
So even at $50 per hour labour alone you would be looking at $1500 plus the cost of materials which would be around $500.
Keep in mind that mY front and rear are only lips and not full bars so there would be more prep and paint involved in full bars. It also depends on what raw material the kit is made of and how well it has been made.
Also, I have found that the front and rear lips and wing that were supplied primed ( did not ask them to be) were primed with lesser quality Acrylic primer. I ended up washing all the primer off with thinners and started from scratch using 2 pac products.
Also, keep in mind that if you purchase a prepainted body kit part there is no guaranty that it will fit without modification posibly leading to damage to the newly painted surface.
With all this said, at the end of the day time equals money so
