Sold my Recaro's the other day, they were causing the pressure sensors to play up. Just wondering on the legality of Sparco Evo II's for road use, due to the fixed back? And all of your opinions.

I don't think the police would have any issues with the seat (unless you catch them in a bad mood) but the guys at the pits miiight be able to fail it if it was defected.. It'd be a good idea to keep the OEM ones just incase.
Being aftermarket I think the pressure sensors would play up unless you put alot of time into making them work, i'd just be disconnecting them and leaving them permanently off
The ES seats don't come standard with the seat airbags so changing them out wouldn't cause an issue with safety features either which is good
IMO I reckon go with whats comfiest

The evo 2's are i think 3cm wider than the evo's, so IMO they're a good compromise between a full bucket and some of the extra comfort a semi-bucket offers. I plan on boosting in the future and some track driving too, so for me it's really trying to balance it. Good idea leaving the pressure sensors off though, I wasn't sure if i'd get warnings or anything from it

Remember if your came out with side air bags then you can not fit these to your Lancer.

Just wondering for those with aftermarket seats, how do you disable or calibrate the pressure sensor, and for those with side airbags, disable the warning that'll come up?
I'm aware of the legalities with fitting aftermarket seats, so there's no need to go there.

I am not sure you can.
When I unplugged my front seat the CEL came on until the seats were plugged back in.
Contact Mitsubishi as they may be able to turn them off.

i disconnected the front seats and nothing came up, also with the seats in question these are not legal in AUS due to not being able to recline sorry, i'd put the OEM seats in or buy some brides
