Hi all,

I'm chasing a hard plastic boot liner for my VRX sedan. I asked the dealer but as it comes with the Rockford sub they said it wouldn't fit.

Does anyone know if there is a version of this that will fit a sedan with the sub? If not, are they any good alternatives?

That is such b_ll sh_t. Don't worry it will fit perfectly.

For us who have a VR-X sedan with the Rockford Sub, all you needed to do is to cut the boot liner along the line and it will fit perfectly. You will know what I mean when you see the real thing.

Just make sure you have a sharp sissors and a cutter.

Yes your dealer is such a dipstick. The boot liner is the same for both Rockford equipped and others. You merely cut off the section where the sub is. There is even a line there that you can cut along... .

Huh? I got the liner and it's customer moulded to fit around the rockford sub. It's has a one inch lip all around... (edit:) from memory the bit around the sub is only raise by half an inch.
Ill try and take a pic if you want....

Yea, I'm not sure if you can grab them on ebay but there should be ones for the sub and without the sub (just like the outlander).

Quickly losing confidence in the dealer...

Thanks for the quick responses guys.

I was hoping to get one pre moulded without having to cut it.

Yeah it still has a raised lip around the sub about 1 inch high compared with about 3 inches high the rest of the way around

Sorry for the slightly off topic question, but is there one of these available for the sportback as well? Cheers

For what its worth ive got one and they really are a brilliant piece of kit.

Especially if transporting bulky items as it stops them slipping around on the carpet.

Yes there is a hard plastic mat for sportback aswell. Same deal as sedan can cut it along crease to fit rockford.

Or go to Bunnings and get a rubber-backed carpet square .... cut to fit = custom-made + way cheaper. About $20, I think.

That's what I use.. find it stops stuff from swiming around better than the hard plastic.

Though in our outlander we use both. The hard plastic to protect the carpets as we sometimes transport dirty stuff and the rubber to stop slipping.
