Door lock red vinyls?

Hey people,
Has anyone out there done anything to their door locks so that they stand out more? On other cars, they usually have red sticker-type things that make it obvious on whether you have it locked or unlocked.
The locks are black on my Lancer, so I can't just glance at them to tell if they're locked or not, especially at night.
Was thinking about getting red vinyls and just sticking on small dots or rectangles, but I have a feeling that it'll fall off in a couple of months. Would be interested to see if anyone has more proper ideas that fit onto the shape.
Cheers.

Found some fluoro orange sticker sheets, and cut myself some small tabs out of them. Stuck it onto the the rectangular areas on the door locks and it looks better. At least it's easier to tell whether the door is locked or not now.

Just a creature of habit. I'm used to checking that the doors are locked when leaving the car, from when central locking was restricted to one single lock/unlock button.
Seems like the lock switches are supposed to have some sort of colour there since they've allocated a spare area for this. Do all Lancers have no colour or did they get rid of it recently?

Should have checked the wreakers for some triton locks, they look the same as the lancers but they have a led in them.

The Outlanders don't come with this either... had to get some red stickers from officeworks though they are slightly faded now
Better to use vinyl.
Or alternatively you could just get folding mirrors
hehehee...

I dont think this is a stupid idea but I wouldnt do it on mine. If its locked then its locked. If its not locked and its gone then get another one
Go to Autobarn and get some of the pinstripe vinyl either 10 or 12mm will do fine. Its usually near the paint section. Pinstripe vinyl lasts ages and wont fade after a few touches. Only a few dollars. Can even get chrome ones too. I know which part of the lock thing your talking about though.

With regards to the original fluoro orange stickers that I stuck on, they're still going fine. It seems strange that the door locks would have a room for something like it, but not have it altogether.
I reckon the fluoro orange goes with black quite well.

i was actually discussing this with a friend after they hopped into my car and couldnt tell if the door was locked or not. i like to lock my doors at night when im driving in certain areas, and sometimes it's quite hard to tell if it's locked of unlocked.
i've been wondering where to get some red vinyl from, ill have to go down to auto barn and see if they stock any, i recently bought vinyl from ebay and it was lousy so don't want to go for that option again.
any suggestions?

I didn't use vinyl, but an old sheet of fluoro adhesive that I had from ages ago.
I'll take a photo now and post it up. BRB
